1 OUT OF BOUNDS (Rule 27)
a) Before any fence bounding the course or beyond the
fences marking the new plantations at the 9th, 10th and 11th
holes.
b) Beyond the dyke to the Left of the 14th hole.
c) In or beyond the line of White posts or the near bank of
the river Gynack at the 16th, 17th and 18th holes.
2 WATER HAZARDS (Rule 26) - As marked by the Yellow stakes
a) The river Gynack is a water hazard at the 7th and 15th
holes.
b) All ditches other than lateral water hazards are water
hazards
3 LATERAL WATER HAZARDS (Rule 26) - As marked by the Red
stakes
a) Ditches to the 1st, 2nd, 9th and 18th holes
4 IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS (Rule 24-2)
a) Stones on the fairway
b) A ball lying on the gravel at the club house, or on the
putting green, must be lifted.
c) Staked trees if it interferes with a player's stance or
area of intended swing then the ball must be lifted.
d) Sprinkler heads or hydrant covers. In addition, if such
an obstruction on or within two club lengths of the putting
green of the hole being played intervenes on the line of
play between the ball and the hole and the player's ball
lies off the putting green.
e) All artificially surfaced paths and roads.
5 MOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS (Rule 24-1)
a) Stones in bunkers
6 GROUND UNDER REPAIR (Rule 25-1) - All areas bounded by
White lines and/or appropriately marked.
a) A player must take relief,
7 FAIRWAY MARKERS INDICATE DISTANCES TO THE CENTRE OF EACH
GREEN
